Bye bye Truro – hello new term!
I’m writing this on what must be the hottest day for at least a couple of weeks. Yet here we are, back in Tunbridge Wells and already into September and the start of a new academic year.
The remainder of our week in Truro was fantastic: I experienced my first Eucharist service and managed to stand and sit in all the right places; we survived Piccolo’s O come let us sing unto the Lord; my voice held out for a squeeny solo soprano part in the overwhelming Blair Mag. and Nunc in B minor; and we also got to sing the fantastic anthem Evening Hymn by Gardiner.
An added bonus are the words and phrases from the psalms and songs of last week that keep drifting through my brain as I attack timetabling, boring admin tasks and do my books. A whispering reminder of the great week spent with the Oriana Singers.
