Youthful Voices

Jennifer is very excited to bring Youthful Voices to the Zed Cafe in Sevenoaks. Launched in Tunbridge Wells last year, this fun new singing club for KS2 (ages 7-11) is open for all those wanting to sing simply because they love it. Come and join us at 4pm on Mondays!

The class aims to:

  • be fun and inclusive with catchy tunes and singing games
  • improve breathing, tuning and musicality
  • work towards group singing performances
  • offer solo performance opportunities to those looking for a challenge

The children have been learning to sing as a group and improve their tuning through 5-note songs and games. They have especially enjoyed songs from Jennifer’s upcoming songbook collection and compositions as well as Zoe Greenhalgh’s Songs and Games for Middle Years. The best way to sing is in a relaxed setting, with games and lots of giggles!

In May the group made their debut at Langton Primary School and followed this with a rather special performance Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells with the SJ School of Dance showcase. The group sang beautifully with big smiles on their faces to a packed auditorium. Lots of money was raised for Hospice in the Weald to boot!

Feedback from parents:

“To my mind Emma has absolutely bloomed this term and is having a very happy time.”

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you for this term. The girls have loved the singing, the [Christmas] candles were a huge hit, and the girls sung to us in the hall afterwards!”
