It’s been a while in the planning and creating, but A Jazz Journey is born!
Today, in the form of a showreel.
Filmed at beautiful Finchcocks over the summer, A Jazz Journey takes the audience on a journey of my own classical roots to jazz. It celebrates the wide variety of styles and voice-type the world of jazz offers: From Gershwin’s jazz-fusion opera Porgy & Bess through to swing, bossa nova and jazzy-pop.
A Jazz Journey shows there really is something for everyone when it comes to jazz – in fact it celebrates your uniqueness!
On the musical menu:
- Summertime from Porgy & Bess (George & Ira Gershwin)
- Feeling Good from The Roar of the Greasepaint – the Smell of the Crowd (Bricusse & Newley)
- September in the rain (Dubin & Warren)
- Girl from Ipanema (Getz & Gilberto)
- Skylark (Carmichael & Mercer)
- The Moon is Mine (Fairground Attraction & Nevin)
- All blues (Davis)
- No more blues (Jobim)
- Summertime swung (George & Ira Gershwin)

I really hope you enjoy. If you know of anyone – or anywhere – which might enjoy a “salon” performance, I’d be so grateful if you could pass this on to them.

Thanks so much x
