I’ve been sitting on this for a few weeks now and am super excited to share with you the results of an April day, which has honestly been one of the highlights of 2021 so far.
Back in full-on lockdown celebrant Helen Noble asked if I’d be interested in being involved in a styled wedding photoshoot she was planning. I met Helen at a graveside a few years ago – me desperately hoping my violin bow wouldn’t fly off the string in the blowing gale, her leading an interment service with such warmth on a blustery chilly October day – and we hit it off!
Helen had a vision of organising a quintessential spring woodland wedding shoot to bring together her favourite suppliers, all of whom had in some way been affected by over 15 months of disrupted weddings. The theme for the shoot was contrast and harmony, set in gorgeous Surrey woodland.
The weather was perfect, with glorious sunshine dappling the clearing Helen had chosen for us to shoot in. The team involved photographer Jason Leaman and videographer Shona Nolan, a plethora of talented and enthusiastic suppliers and real-life couple Andy and Anita and we were all buzzing to be creating something together.
I could continue waxing lyrical about how much fun we had, describing it all in detail but I shall pass onto Helen to do this with her article How to find your wedding ceremony style, just published in the Celebrant Directory. Click the image below to discover more!
Over the course of the next few weeks, I’ll be posting a few more photos of me playing my violin on a carpet of leaves, surrounded by happy people and a carpet of bluebells, but for now I’ll leave you with just one more photo, a fantastic video, as well as a huge thank you to all involved, especially Jason and Shona who captured the day and vision superbly.
