What a fantastic first gig of the year!
Having visited the Roman Baths on a school trip when I was 10, I was over the moon to be asked to sing there this Friday during the signing of the register at Chris and Tim’s wedding ceremony. As it was a civil ceremony (therefore prohibiting religious music), I chose to sing Nella Fantasia (In my fantasy), the Italian setting of Morricone’s theme to the film The Mission “Gabriel’s Oboe”.
It was a truly magical wedding ceremony. Hearing my voice echo over the beautiful green water as guests listened on will be a memory I will always treasure.
In Ferrau’s words:
“Io sogno d’anime che sono sempre libere, come le nuvole che volano pien d’umanità in fondo all’anima”
“I dream of souls that are always free, like the clouds that fly, full of humanity deep within the soul.”
