What a fantastic first gig of the year!
Having visited the Roman Baths on a school trip when I was 10, I was over the moon to be asked to sing there this Friday during the signing of the register at Chris and Tim’s wedding ceremony. As it was a civil ceremony (therefore prohibiting religious music), I chose to sing Nella Fantasia (In my fantasy), the Italian setting of Morricone’s theme to the film The Mission “Gabriel’s Oboe”.
It was a truly magical wedding ceremony. Hearing my voice echo over the beautiful green water as guests listened on will be a memory I will always treasure.
In Ferrau’s words: “Io sogno d’anime che sono sempre libere, come le nuvole che volano pien d’umanità in fondo all’anima” ~ “I dream of souls that are always free, like the clouds that fly, full of humanity deep within the soul.”
